Minnie Jack is a mix between the Jack Russel Terrier and the Miniature Pinsche (Min Pin). This breed is good in a one dog home. The Minnie Jack is not a purebred dog, it is a designer hybrid. A Minnie Jack is ideal for kids or someone who loves to excercise.
WELFARE: They are very friendly and not very destructive towards plantlife.

BEHAVIOR: Minnie Jacks are obedient, loving, proud and friendly. They have a good temperament and are great with kids for being loyal, energetic and getting along well with other dogs but they do not tolerate any rough behavior. Their lifespan is 9-15 years so they will be a member of the family for many years. Minnie Jacks are suitable for someone with a large backyard and enough time to keep them occupied. If neglected, they keep themselves busy by digging the yard, chewing socks, chasing squirrels, cats, and barking. They need to have a high fence which is unable to dig underneath. They can be aggressive with other animals but theu may get along with animals that have been raised with them. They are intelligent but tend to be obstinate. Minnie jacks respond well to consistent, gentle training.

APPEARANCE: The colourings are: red, black and tan, chocolate and white with red or tan. The coat is short and smooth. They are small and cute and vary considerably in colour. The coat can be kept clean by using a rubber mitt once a week. Bathing roughens the coat and is done only occasionally. The ears need regular cleaning. Occasional brushing the teeth with special toothpaste and toothbrush prevents formation of tartar.
Ears: Minnie Jack's ears are always erect andd pointed. They have uncredibly good hearing for a dog. Their ears are usually healthy but can easily get scabs and sores. They are usuakky darkly coloured but colouring always depend on the parents.There ears are quite large and slightly fuzzed. They are known for their adorable ears.
 Eyes: They have dark eyes with good vision but are sometimes short sighted.
Tail: A Minnie Jack's tail is short, stubby, soft and usually darkly coloured. Their tsil wags rapidly when their excited.
 Legs: They're legs are strong and athletic but at the same time short, stumpy and hardy.
 
 MAINTENENCE: Minnie Jacks are incredibly easy to groom, a quick brush 2 per week will remove dirt and excess hair.

DIET: Minnie Jacks have an average appetite though the food intake may vary with activity, size and age. Clean drinking water should be available all the time.

BREEDING CHARACTERISTICS: Litter size: 3-7 puppies.

HEALTH: They do not suffer any known health problems but can easily get eye infections. Take them immediately to the vet if you see their eyes crusting or swelling.

HOUSING AND ENVIRONMENT: They may not tolerate extreme weather. They need to be kept indoors or in a properly insulated kennel in adverse weather. They can be kept in an apartment if their excercise needs are met. Allowing them to run off the leash in a fenced yard and playing games with them are necessary. This breed needs regular excercise in a fenced yard.
